Etsy selling fees: the complete 2026 list
Every fee Etsy can charge a US seller, in one place — what it is, when it applies, and what it costs. US rates as of 2026; other countries differ (especially payment processing and regulatory operating fees).
The fees
| Fee | Cost | When it applies |
|---|---|---|
| Listing fee | $0.20 | Each listing publish or renewal; lasts 4 months or until sold |
| Transaction fee | 6.5% | Each sale, on the item price plus shipping you charge |
| Payment processing | 3% + $0.25 | Each sale paid through Etsy Payments (US rate; varies by country) |
| Offsite Ads | 15% / 12% | Sale from an Etsy offsite ad click. 15% if you made under $10k in 365 days (opt-out-able); 12% and mandatory above |
| Etsy Ads (on-site) | Your budget | Optional; you set a daily budget, charged per click |
| Auto-renew listing fee | $0.20 | If auto-renew is on and a listing expires unsold |
| Regulatory operating fee | Varies | Some countries (UK, EU members, others) — not applied to US sellers |
Worked example
A $25 item with $5 shipping, sold normally (no Offsite Ads), US seller:
- Transaction fee: 6.5% × $30 = $1.95
- Payment processing: 3% × $30 + $0.25 = $1.15
- Listing fee (amortized per sale): $0.20
- Total: $3.30 — 11% of the $30 order
If that same sale came from an Offsite Ads click, add 15% × $30 = $4.50, taking the total to $7.80 — 26% of the order.
What does not cost extra
- Opening a shop and setting up listings beyond the $0.20 each
- Photos, videos (up to 10) and digital files on a listing
- Etsy's shipping labels (you pay the label cost, no markup fee)
